I really don't have enough seeds to trade this year, but you can find Asian Long beans (search for Yardlong beans)at most seed websites, and there are a lot of varities of bitter melon available in this country, too. Google for it, and check seedsmen who handle Oriental vegetables for both of these.
Remember this location is VERY HOT because it's a south facing full sun exposure. Plant a vine that can take the heat, and plan to water. At your own place, you might pick an east wall so there is afternoon sun protection.
Also note that there are no gutters on this building... the sloping roof magnifies the amount of rain... which is useful, but also means you got to be careful not to plant your seeds directly under the dripline.
The big leaves are okra...
More pictures of all these plants are posted under Great Gardens links under this heading. Look at okra in summer heat, and you can see how it looked when sun was hottest on a 102 degree day.
Also note that vines on a building will moderate temperatures inside the structure.

And look how pretty! I have a small yard and will probably use this idea at some point as I expand my garden! Thanks for the idea!

I grew the long beans this summer the same way. They were so delicious and better than any other green bean I ever ate. They fry REALLY well with some garlic.
