actually, AFAIK, these flowers are pollinated by bugs, they don't eat them. I have a pic of the same flower with ants marching into it, I post it if I find it.

Good to learn domething new. I often wondered why the plant closed when bugs were on it. Many folks around here never seen one and find it fantastic. I doubt if I'll spill the beans though. It sort of adds pleasure to having one.

I don't know if they actually eat bugs but I have never seen a bug left when they reopen.
