My favorite flower container

I found this well made mailbox planter on ebay that slips over the mailbox and painted the roof with krylon fusion in hunter green. It is sold in white but can be painted. It comes in 2 parts, roof and planter. I planted Gazania Daybreak mix and under the mailbox are Gazanias and Sun loving blue Lobelia. It really gets attention with the people who pass by and my mail carrier loves it. Looking forward to Halloween and Christmas decorating. No more drab mailbox.

I love your mailbox! Where are you located? In Louisiana weather right now, I would have to water twice a day.

I am in central Missouri near the Lake of the Ozarks. There is Miracle-Gro with Moisture control or Pro Mix Ultmate container mix have polymers that is a gel that absorbs moisture to help reduce the need for watering and keeps the soil moist. With the rains we have had this spring, keeping watered is not an issue. Happy Gardening and Have a safe 4th of July!
