Mystery Plant leaf - Austin, TX

Leaf is as big as a man's hand. Leaves come on stock every few inches, three at a time.

It looks to me as if you've got a Catalpa (Catalpa spp.) seedling. There are three species common in the eastern US, one native to the southeast, one native from the Appalachians to west of the Missippi, including Texas and one naturalized from China. Whichever it is, it is a small to medium sized tree. It has clusters of large flowers, usually white with markings, followed by long, thin, hanging seed pods which are sometimes called Indian Cigars.
