Are my foxgloves done blooming for the season?   (1 comment)

Are my foxgloves done blooming for the season?

I planted them a few weeks ago and all the flowers fell off and I am wondering if they are done blooming for the season?

If you let them be, they will produce tons of seed, which you can collect if you wish, or let them fall om their own. I usually collect seeds, and sprinkle them where where I want them to grow next year.
Sometimes, if you decide to cut spent blooms, the plants shoots another stalk, which is smaller in size, and you get another bloom. Most foxgloves which germinate from seed, bloom the year after that, and few varieties bloom that year. Either way - these are gorgeous flowers for a cottage garden (my favorite kind!), and I hope you enjoy many more soon!
Good luck!
