Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is?It might not look like a great specimen because it usually winds around poles, fences, etc. but I couldn't do a very good job of that this year. Also, I thought I read that I am supposed to take it in before the first frost and I want to make sure I am going to take care of it properly. Thanks! You may still have a chance. The top growth may be dead but the roots might still be alive. I'm not certain but it appears to be either Allamanda or Mandevilla. Both are genera of tropical and subtropical vines and shrubs. They've become more available in the nursery trade in recent years and are often grown as (expensive) annuals in the north. Some are hardy in Zone 9 or 10. Posted by joem50 on 2009-11-16, 02:47:48 . |
