Strange flower..What is it ???just moved in and this tree is not a very pretty tree. Thinking about cutting it down, but the flower looks liken it might attrect humming birds. I think it's the same. It's a member of the Legume family called Cockspur Coralbean (Erythrina crista-galli). Wyman's Garden Encyclopedia calls it a shrub, native to Brazil, which gets 15 feet tall and is hardy in zone 10. Posted by joem50 on 2009-11-17, 03:51:30 . |
