Branch tips look healthy. Is this a newly planted tree?
Tree is not sick, tree is thirsty. Most likely reason for this is one or all of these:
1. Tree does not receive enough water and/or gets too much heat.
2. Tree lacks most of its feeder roots due to transplanting.
3. Tree is too deep or too high within root ball it was transported in.
4. surrounding soil is too compacted for new roots to penetrate.

Liriodendron is a bottomland forest species (moist, shady) the more you can imitate this the better.
