GardenWeb Guide to Growing Perfect Tomato Plants
Step 2: Get your timing right! Aim to plant in late April to early May, and the first blossoms will arrive in late June to early July. Tomatoes grow best if daytime temperatures range from 70-degrees F to 80-degrees F and nighttime temperatures range from 55-degrees F to 75-degrees F. Of course, timings will fluctuate based on local weather patterns. Also, you will need 4-6 weeks extra if you plan on starting your seeds indoors.
