Jey_L, just found this in the gallery. I like this simple straightforward approach. The windows up high which swing out for ventilation would be useful. Even out of Lexan w/ some UV filtration in them. I could keep the small bumpout where the swingup garage door sits now, even with that facing due west. Shutters on the western side will give good shade to break the intense heat. We are in USDA zone 8B. In another comment, I asked if the cement blocks might be covered by stucco to good advantage. I will look for a more panoramic photo to place the garage in relation to the house.
